Introduction to the Archipelago
Due to its size, geographic position and evolutionary history, the Socotra Archipelago is a prime regional center of Biodiversity. On the basis of recent scientific evidence, the nickname "Galapagos of the Indian Ocean" is apparently well deserved.

Hundreds of rare and spectacular large plants and small animals, which can be found nowhere else in the world, can be seen there.
